I absolutely love thrift shopping… it’s sort of a hit-or-miss kind of thing, but if you’re willing to search through racks and have an eye for it, it can be extremely rewarding! I found this sheer kimono for $9 (it’s actually a really LARGE shirt) but it was big enough to wear as a kimono. And this Caché dress for $7 (which I’m betting was originally $150+).
Dress: Thrifted $7
Kimono: Thrifted $9
Boots: Free People x Jeffrey Campbell
Necklace: Lindsay Lewis
Wrap Bracelet: A. Marie Jewelry
Gold & Midi Rings: Amarilo
Turquoise Cuff: The Distillery Austin
Gold & Silver Stacking Rings: Lacee Alexandra Jewelry
Gold Cuff: J.D. Luxe
Bag: Spell Designs
Wore the kimono out later in the evening — but since it cooled off I paired it with a pair of high waisted black jeans (rolled up), black tank and black chunky heels. The perfect transition piece for the summer nights that aren’t warm enough.
LOVING this 1930’s cuff from The Distillery Austin! The Distillery is an online shop based in Austin, Texas, co-owned by a brother and sister team. They sell vintage goods, handmade artisanal items that they find traveling, and art that they either make themselves or pieces where they have a good relationship with the artist. Their goal is to be sure of the authenticity of their products by sourcing everything themselves, and in the case of their handmade goods, they buy directly from the people who make the items. A giveaway is in the works with this inspiring shop, and they have such a cool collection of goodies!
